c75c8ab7cd I figured it out myself. I appreciate the help. A friend of mine has the same problem, they do indeed also have a surfboard. over MAXBUF is the error that is sent by the router (IF it gets a chance to send the message before it locks up.) Sometimes the router resets instead of hangin, so it essentially keeps working which one would not normally notice. Save your settings when this page is completed.slide 5 of 6Configure Your NetworkOn the Basic Wireless Settings screen, enter the name you want for your network.
I also have NAT and pretty much all other services in the router turned off. We checked everything for function, and I thanked them&only to find that the connection with my B/G card was dropping almost immediately after connecting. Apparently, it is not the OS or the PC causing the router to hang, it maybe some TCP message arriving from the cablemodem that causes it to hang. I have been locking out irregularly every 30 minutes or so. Jen Okay guys I wont claim to be any computer genious here, but I will offer some support. Using the site is easy and fun. It was very hard even conceptually of getting her to understand this basic problem. It cant be traffic floods or DOS attacks from the internet causing it.
